This is an erratic turn for the day. I haven't been blogging. I haven't really visited book blogs in months. But there's the occasional visit here and there but it's rare when I leave a comment. Best leave temptation out of the equation.
But Eva's tweet earlier alerted me on Carl's post about my absolute, total favorite reading challenge of all: Readers Imbibing Peril. So here I am with my pool. I'm choosing Peril the First, as always.

1. We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson
2. A Fine and Private Place by Peter S. Beagle
3. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
4. Ghostwalk by Rebecca Stott
5. Lives of the Monster Dogs by Kirsten Bakis
6. Glass Books of the Dream Eaters by Gordon Dahlquist
7. Blood Rites by Jim Butcher
8. Spiral by Koji Suzuki
At least for now. The sixth book from the pool is a holdover from last year, something I didn't get to finish after I left it at home from a trip. The rest are books I can partly see from where I'm typing this. What a way to come up with a pool!
I'd like to add Pride and Prejudice and Zombies here but my favorite bookstore has yet to call me for my copy. Despite the book tax brouhaha here it seems Pinoys gobbled up Seth Grahame-Smith's take on Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy love story. Oh well. I know it's a parody and probably not exactly as scary as Koji Suzuki's sequel to Ring which is part of my pool. But I'm rambling.
Come join us for another round of creepy reads. You know you want to.
Erratic post over. Haha. Will blog again hopefully by late September. Wish me luck.
Oh and hello to Care too!
